Powder
Powder sits after DRY on the continuum. It is a convenience and a recipe ingredient. It is not a medical upgrade.
A teaspoon of powder is not the same as a handful of the fresh plant. Capsules and gummies are further processing of this step — forms are not equivalent.
When powdering makes sense
- Even distribution in spice blends, doughs, and drinks.
- Using fully dry, food-grade material you already have.
- Reducing kitchen waste of brittle dried leaves.
When it does not
- To “get more antioxidants” without knowing what you started with.
- As a workaround for a plant you should not ingest (see safety notes on individual plant pages).
- Because a label says “superfood powder” — that is marketing, not a form comparison.
